Fabulous App & Developer, one small caveat
GraphicConverter is outstanding in every respect and has been for the decade or more in which I’ve been using it. I barely tap into (or even understand) its many features, but for those few that I do, it is well worth the price. And if I do need to learn more, there is an excellent series of online tutorials to guide me. GraphicConverter’s developer, Thorsten Lemke, sets a world-class standard for availability, documentation and customer support. Email him with a problem and he typically responds the same day with the fix. In fact, he did so a few weeks ago, which brings me to the one small caveat. The App Store version of GC9, in adhering to Apple’s safety standards, restricts those locations in which documents can be saved. Though I am generally happy with my App Store purchases, in this case, having been a long-time user, I found those restrictions to be a bit too much. I emailed Mr. Lemke about my issue and he responded back almost immediately, telling me to send him a copy of my App Store receipt, which I did. Within the hour, he emailed me a license for the (non App Store) version on his website, and I was back in business. If I could give him and GC9 ten stars, I would. It’s that good.
