Indispensable

I started using GraphicConverter in 2005, to prepare several hundred illustrations for a book (I’d taken screenshots in PDF, the publisher wanted BMP).

GraphicConverter had faithful conversions, and was easy to automate. I’ve had it for years before. I am using it today. As a practical matter, there is nothing else.
